The African Reflections Foundation requires funding for;

Project Funding: funding is applied to fund projects in line with the objectives of the Foundation and based on the project funding criteria and frameworks. (Project funds include project overhead costs, which are not included in core funding.) Project funding is outputs-based with a clear exit strategy.

Service Funding: funding applied to cover large-scale or particular service contracts where more than one organisation is involved, and where pro-rata payments are needed. For instance, separate legal frameworks with different requirements, responsibilities and compliances, normally govern procurement.

Core Funding: funding is applied to cover costs of the Foundation's core functions and to enable it to develop and maintain its body of expertise and fund all administration and training requirements. Core funding is solicited annually and depends on the projected budget requirements and the annual strategic plan of the Foundation.
