NINE YEARS OF CLEAN WATER: AFRICAN REFLECTIONS FOUNDATION’S INSPIRING VISIT TO DONDO PRIMARY SCHOOL

On October 31, 2024, the African Reflections Foundation team, led by its founder Maryvonne Pool, embarked on a special visit to Dondo Primary School. The purpose of this visit was to check on the solar-powered well installed in 2016, a project made possible by the generous support of Drilling for Hope and Friends in USA – Saratoga Springs.

Upon arriving, the team was delighted to find that the solar-powered well continues to function perfectly, providing the school with clean and reliable water – a vital resource for both students and staff. It was inspiring to see that, even after nearly nine years, the well remains a pillar of sustainability and health for the school community.

Maryvonne Pool took the opportunity to personally thank the school’s headmistress and second master for their dedicated supervision and the students for their responsible use of the facility. She also expressed deep gratitude to the sponsors whose support made this project possible, including Drilling for Hope and Friends in USA – Saratoga Springs. Their shared commitment has allowed Dondo Primary to enjoy the benefits of clean water for nearly a decade.

This visit was a reminder of the beauty of collaboration and the lasting impact that sustainable projects can have on communities. Clean water is more than a necessity; it is a symbol of hope, health, and a brighter future for all.
