Mkuranga Women Clean Cooking Support Program Milestone

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our journey towards sustainable development and environmental conservation. As part of the Mkuranga Women Clean Cooking Support Program (MWCCSP), we have successfully distributed the first phase of 400 Oryx gas cylinders and cooking kits. This initiative marks a crucial transition towards clean energy, replacing traditional charcoal and firewood with cleaner and more efficient cooking solutions.

Aligned with the vision of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan for a clean energy transition in Tanzania, our efforts are in full support of her endeavors. We draw inspiration from the Africa Clean Cooking Support program, launched during COP 28 in Dubai last year, which emphasizes the importance of clean cooking solutions for sustainable development.

Our collaboration with Oryx and the African Reflections Foundation (ARF) has been instrumental in launching and implementing the MWCCSP. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Hon. Major Edward Gowele, Rufiji District Commissioner, and Omary Mwanga, Mkuranga District Administrative Secretary (DAS), for their unwavering support throughout this journey.

This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of the Oryx team, led by our founder Maryvonne Pool, and our committed team members. Together, we are making a positive impact on communities, empowering women, and paving the way for a cleaner, greener future.

Join us in celebrating this milestone and continuing our efforts towards sustainable development
